It's true - Avan's even the one wearing armor here, and he's fresh to the fight, and he's not facing a dark lord with a grudge. This is just a snail, and Avan does have a grasp on the things he can and can't do. Or... maybe he doesn't, and this is courage in action?

Popp clutches the glasses to his chest like a talisman. If all he can do is believe that Avan can handle it, he'll believe as hard as he can.
