"Yeah, that blows," she can at least commiserate. "I hate the not knowing too, so... I just hope that maybe it would've always led down the same path regardless. It doesn't really change what did happen, but- Still!" It's better than nothing.

To Rosie, it does sound like Charlie though. He was always intense and had the capability to do atrocious things; once she realized, she had hoped to try and change things but could she have? Could anyone? While she might still wonder from time to time, it's impossible to know.
