"Yes, every individual values different things. I find it fascinating how much you can learn by simply talking to someone about what they are passionate about." Fortunately the tail slows to a gentle sway, and he rubs his hands together, breathing a puff of warm air into them.

"Thank you, though. I am eager to know of anything you are willing to share with me." He pauses, and then adds to the statement. "I'll bring some snacks for us to enjoy during such sessions. Please consider what you might enjoy."

It's apparent that food is very much a love language for Byleth. Sharing meals with his students and cooking together always brought new insights and fond memories. Truth be told, he still feels bereft without them. His little flock, tight-knit and strongly bonded. The sense of belonging and simply being needed helped Byleth weather the most difficult times in his life. The Blue Lions turned out to be far more than simply students- but family.
