"Mine was quiet for quite some time, but, since my wings have grown out at least this much, he's been a little more helpful. Apparently, he knows more than a little about cooking in various states, and so he has offered some advice for handling things with claws."
Granted, that dragon has also said it would be easier if they could shift forms already, but that isn't what they get for now, so.
"Show me how you would usually try to hold a knife with your claws coming in like this."
