How is this man so unfailingly honest and sincere and does not understand that there's anything appealing about him? And that's not even talking about how gorgeous he is. (Perhaps it should mean something to him, that Noctis even thinks that much. He so rarely does think like that about others.) "And before you say anything about.... y'know... things you've done-" He pauses, taking in a breath, swallowing down the lingering pain of what those actions wrought. He has to bring it up though because he knows how this argument goes. He's had it a thousand times with Prompto and even a few times with Gladio and Ignis over the years though... not so much about the kissing thing just the whole... being a good person part of it.
"Everything you've done has been in the worst possible circumstances! And all of it fueled by love and loyalty and... there's an appeal to that too. The idea that someone would go to such lengths for someone they love." His expression softens, a silly lovestruck sort of smile tugging at his lips. "You and Iggy are a lot alike in that. Maybe he hasn't had to do anything as terrible as what you've been through but... he does so much for the people he loves." It's really ridiculous that he didn't realize sooner how deep Ignis' feelings for him went.
