Would being raised by servants be less caring than with parents? He supposed it might be like the techs in the lab, interested only in their jobs and the outcomes of experiments.. though perhaps less experiments. "It's not that silly, if it's something normal."
Professor Hojo was in a way, interested in his day. He was, in a way, interested in Sephiroth's well being, and being around him. "...I suppose it doesn't really matter."
