If Avan hears Popp's question (he does), he doesn't give any indication of it, because he is intently watching the pixies that were swarming him as they fall into infighting. This is an opportunity that cannot be allowed to go to waste! No time to explain!

He hooks his arm around Popp's, slaps the other hand over his mouth to keep him quiet, and then absolutely books the both of them out of there before the pixies can notice. Once they're safely out of sight, he releases Popp and lets out a laugh that's somewhere between nervous and carefree.

"Haaahhh, they're an enthusiastic bunch, aren't they?"
